Board Members

Joanne Capper, an international development specialist, got involved with CCHFP last year, helping out with the Friends & Neighbors breakfast. In late 2005, she worked with her neighbors in Cleveland Park to provide housing to three families struck by the devastation of Katrina, all of whom are now safely settled in the DC area.

Barbara Franklin is a labor arbitrator and mediator who has supported CCHFP since its founding. She has volunteered in many capacities, from entering data to providing assistance on legal matters.

Peg Lolito first because involved with CCHFP through Liz Siegel, who encouraged her to help out with a three-day thrift shop sale.  For the more than 5 years since, Peg has gradually become more involved with CCH and now frequently prepares dinners for Veronica House and helps mentor at the Haven.  She is also dedicated volunteer and advocate for Mary Johns’ campaigned for mayor.

Hillary Morgan has been involved with homelessness and alcoholism professionally for the past twenty-five years overseas and locally while living in Alaska.  Now that she has joined us in DC, she is doing consulting work with housing and economic development.

Leigh Rollins first set foot in Friendship Place when she delivered a box of toiletries she had purchased in response to a CCHFP newsletter wish list. Since then, she has volunteered in many capacities. She joins the board at the invitation of long-time board member Dick Schleicher, whom she knows through Metropolitan Memorial United Methodist Church. “My husband and I have always believed no one should be homeless or hungry in this wealthy country of ours,” she says.

Anne Milliar Wiebe is the mother of two girls but still manages to be a full-time volunteer throughout DC.   In addition to participating in a therapeutic riding program at Rock Creek Park Horse Center, giving tours of the Bishop's Garden at the National Cathedral, and being a board member at PAL (People Animals Love), as a long-time friend of Jean Duff and is the congregation representative of St. Albans Church to the CCHFP board.
