Kally Canfield was born and raised near the small town of Troy, Pennsylvania. She received her BA in Sociology with a minor in Social Work from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Since age 16, Kally has been working in the social work field. She worked as an In-Home Aid for elderly individuals while in high school. During her college years, she worked in a variety of residential settings for individuals diagnosed with a variety of disorders including Mental Retardation, Autism, OCD, ODD, ADHD, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Prader Willi, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, and Borderline Personality Disorder. Shortly after graduating from Clarion University, Kally spontaneously decided to move to Washington, D.C., where she quickly fell in love with the city. She worked with a transitional residential program that helped integrate consumers dealing with severe mental health issues into the community. She joined the Neighbors First team as a case manager in March 2010. Kally loves being outdoors. Some activities she enjoys doing are swimming, hiking, biking, kayaking, reading and watching movies. She also likes to hang out with friends and explore the city in her free time. |
