DC cooling centers 

The District calls a hyperthermia alert when the heat index is 95° or above. Help your homeless neighbors stay cool this summer using these great resources.
 

Where to go

These air conditioned locations are open to the public during a hyperthermia alert. 

• One Judiciary Square, 441 4th Street, NW
• Frank D. Reeves Center (Lobby), 2000 14th St. NW
• King Office Building (Lobby), 3720 Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave. SE
• 920 Rhode Island Ave. NE

Anyone in need of transportation to one of these centers should call the hyperthermia hotline at 202-399-7093.
