Jermaine Hampton was born in Detroit Michigan and grew up in the Washington DC metro area. Jermaine attended Gaithersburg High School in Maryland where he played basketball, football, and track. He excelled at Track & Field which eventually landed him a spot at Virginia State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2005.

Jermaine brings a wealth of experience to the table as Employment Director.  Before joining the Friendship Place team in Feb 2011, Jermaine worked as a government contractor for Mongomery County as a Case Manager specializing in employment services, education and training. He also has a great deal of experience in the nonprofit HR field. For his first four months at Friendship Place, Jermaine served as Residential Services Case Manager at the Welcome Center. He now serves as Employment Director for the Aim Hire Job Placement Program.

Jermaine is a highly motivated professional who strives for excellence and truly has a passion for helping people. He is a creative, analytical, and results-oriented individual who welcomes challenges, thrives on hard work and new learning opportunities with superb business acumen and entrepreneurial competencies.
