Join us for the 18th Annual Sing Out for Shelter (SOS) Concert!

This great event is hosted by Augmented Eight, a barbershop style a cappella group that holds this event every year to raise money to help the homeless. All proceeds from the concert support Friendship Place, Metropolitan House shelter, and Christ House.

Augmented Eight

*they've entertained audiences in Washington and elsewhere since 1950, when two a cappella
quartets of Ivy League graduates, who just didn't want to quit singing, first got together
*they perform humor, doo-wop, spirituals, rock and roll, Broadway, contemporary favorites, and even their own tribute to the millennium

Venus d Minor
*eight fascinating and independent modern women
*the stars that formed Venus d Minor converged in the spring of 1995 to create a women's a cappella octet which performs in a wide variety of musical styles. From pop to jazz standards, from classical to new wave, Venus brings its unique sound and brand of humor to audiences around the Washington, DC area.

*a semi-professional a cappella group in the DC metro area that has been delighting music fans since 1997
*eleven members perform a diverse repertoire which appeals to a wide range of audiences, with material ranging from classic tunes and jazz standards to contemporary rock and pop songs.
